It can feel very tentative to step out there and buy something, as the last thing you want is for them to try and return a gift that's about as useful as a hook made from papier-mâché.
To help combat this common issue, we at Angling Active offer gift vouchers that are absolutely ideal for any loved one who wishes to get themselves the perfect fishing gift when you're not too sure what they've been dreaming about! We offer gift vouchers starting from £10 all the way up to £1,000, perfect for Christmas, birthdays, or as a gift for somebody who just simply deserves it.
Types of Vouchers
We offer two different types of vouchers:
Online Voucher
This voucher is ONLY applicable to purchases made from our website and is ideal for those who live far away from our store in Stirling and can't make their way over to us physically! These gift vouchers arrive through email and can be sent straight through to the person you wish to send the gift to. These online vouchers CANNOT be spent in store, but they have no expiry date and give you the option to send a personalised message with the voucher.
In-store Voucher
This voucher is ONLY applicable for our physical store based in Stirling. It's the perfect gift for anybody who lives locally, or if you know someone who will be travelling through on their way to the fantastic rivers, lochs, and coastline that central Scotland and the Highlands have to offer.
The most important thing to note with in-store vouchers is that you MUST keep the receipt that you were given with the voucher, as if it is lost, you will be unable to use the gift card. The receipt is the main piece of the voucher.
How to Use Our Gift Vouchers
Online
To get a web voucher, simply search for it on our website. PLEASE make sure that it is indeed the web voucher you are purchasing and not the in-store one, as these are not cross-compatible! When purchasing, you'll need to insert the value, the name and email of the person who is getting the voucher, and your name and email. After that, simply write a thoughtful message and place it in your basket.
If you have been lucky enough to receive one, to use it, just place your order as normal, and when you're ready to make your payment, copy the given gift voucher code into the "e-voucher code" section just above your Grand Total and Subtotal. This e-voucher will deduct as much as it can from your order:
- If you are spending £50 and have a £100 gift voucher, it will deduct the full £50 from your order and leave you with £50 left to spend on another purchase.
- Inversely, if you are spending £50 and have a £25 gift voucher, it will deduct £25, leaving you with a £25 balance left to pay off.
If you have an online account with us, you can input your given code in our "eVoucher" section on the My Account page to check your remaining balance.
In-store
When you find yourself in-store with us, simply pass the receipt over to a member of our team on the counter. This works the same way as the online voucher, in the sense that it will deduct as much as possible from your payment and leave you with the remaining balance for use next time you visit our store.
You can also pick up our in-store vouchers online by searching for the in-store voucher on our website and going through the same process as for the online voucher. Alternatively, you are more than welcome to pop into our shop, where a helpful member of our staff will be more than happy to sort out an in-store voucher for you also!
