Why Should You Choose a Sage Trout Fly Rod?
FAQs about Sage Trout Fly Rods
For Stillwater Trout Fishing a #6 or a #7 rated model will be suitable with a 10ft models being the most suited for lochstyle fishing whilst the 9ft and 9ft6 models being better for bank fishing.
When matching the reel to the rod, sticking to the line rating of the rod will be best for achieving that perfect balance. If you have chosen a #7, we would recommend choosing a #7/8 sized reel as this will have additional backing capacity. This will enable you to comfortably house a WF8 line if you wish to go a line size up to make loading of the rod more efficient and easier.
