Sage Foundation Fly Rod

The Sage Foundation gives anglers a fast action fly rod with incredible casting power and effortless control, equipped with a Graphite IIIe, high performance blank.

This fly rod is the very foundation of what defines a Sage rod, performance and taking your game to another level. Built with a Graphite IIIe blank, this technology incorporates a mix of proprietary carbon/resin composite materials and utilises modulus positioning and graphite/glass scrim layering. This improves overall blank strength and the layered construction reduces weight and increases cross-sectional durability and performance.

Graphite IIIe technology gives a better feel of connectivity throughout the casting stroke for longer, more accurate casts. Whether you are a guide or exploring your local waters, the Foundation rod series delivers that signature Sage feel.

Each rod is fitted throughout with ceramic stripper guides and hard chromed snake guides and tip-top. The black anodised aluminium, up-locking reel seat is durable and reliable and the handle is made from premium cork with a half wells handle. There is a fighting butt on saltwater weights.

The Sage Foundation Fly Rod has a stealth black colour with black primary wraps and silver trim wraps and is available in a range of models for you to choose from. Each rod is supplied in its own cordura tube.
