About the Vision Stillmaniac II Fly Rod
Introducing the highly anticipated Vision Stillmaniac II Fly Rods! These rods have been designed in collaboration with some of the top competitive anglers from across Europe ensuring that these rods are up to any challenge you may face when fishing on stillwaters.
Every length and weight in the Stillmaniac II range is designed to address specific stillwater needs, allowing anglers to select the ideal model for their preferred techniques and conditions.
The Stillmaniac II rod series features an ultra-fast action design that provides outstanding line speed and casting distance. This fast action allows for quick, powerful casts—ideal for covering large stillwater areas with ease. The rod’s action bends slightly lower in the blank for the versatile models (9’6” #6, 9’6” #7, 10’ #5, and 10’ #6), providing a balance between power and control. For anglers seeking maximum power, the 10’ #7 model is built with an incredibly fast taper and is specifically designed for long-distance casting and handling deeper-sinking lines.
Built for durability and minimal weight, the Stillmaniac II rods feature unsanded and unpainted blanks, which give them a sleek, rugged aesthetic. This design reduces surface imperfections and enhances strength, making it ideal for high-stress situations on the water.
The Vision Stillmaniac II rods feature an innovative reel seat design that ensures a secure hold on your reel, preventing any loosening or shifting even during your sessions.
Equipped with a small full wells handle and an orange fighting butt, the Stillmaniac 2 rods offer unmatched comfort and grip. The handle allows for a relaxed yet firm hold, enhancing control during precision casts, while the fighting butt provides extra leverage when playing larger fish.

About the Hardy Averon Cassette Fly Reel
The Hardy Averon Cassette Fly Reel proudly continues the legacy of previous generations of Hardy cassette reels, bringing a new level of versatility and performance to the modern angler. With a robust design and innovative features, the Averon is the ultimate choice for anglers who need to carry multiple lines and adapt quickly to changing conditions on the water.
Unmatched Versatility with Cassette Spools: The Averon's core feature is its cassette spool design, which is fully interchangeable with the previous generation Hardy UDC reel. This seamless compatibility offers a new level of convenience for anglers who already own a UDC, while the reel itself is supplied with two additional cassette spools, giving you a total of three spools in one package. This makes it incredibly easy and cost-effective to carry multiple fly lines.
Precision Full Disc Drag System: The Averon is equipped with a powerful full disc drag system, which is meticulously scaled to the size of the reel. This provides smooth, reliable, and repeatable drag pressure across its range. The drag is designed to handle everything from a fighting trout to a running salmon, ensuring your tippet is protected and you have complete control over the fish.
Durable Bar Stock Anodised Aluminium: The reel is constructed from Bar stock 6061 anodised aluminium, a material known for its superior strength-to-weight ratio. This robust construction ensures the reel is both lightweight and incredibly durable, able to withstand the rigors of any fishing environment.
Classic Design with Modern Features: The reel features a large arbour spool design for fast line retrieval and reduced line memory. The 4000-7000 sizes come with an open cage design for a lightweight feel, while the larger 9000 size has an enclosed frame for added strength and protection whilst preventing thin running lines from becoming trapped. A secure slide switch cassette locking system makes swapping spools quick and easy.
Each Hardy Averon is supplied with a neoprene reel and spool case, ensuring your reel and extra spools are protected from damage during transport.
