RIO Pike and Musky Leader

The RIO Pike and Musky Leaders are an ultra stiff leader that is attached to a tough bite resistant knottable wire leader or a more discreet super thick and tough fluorocarbon depending on the type. These leaders are a must have for the enthusiastic pike fly angler and come in different options to suit your needs.

These RIO Pike and Musky Leaders are available in 3 different configurations to cover a range of scenarios and situations you may face when out on the water.

The 20/30lb knottable wire options are 7.5ft in length and come fitted with a high quality twist clip so you can quickly change your flies with ease.

The 40lb knottable wire option is 4.5ft in length and features a twist clip on the end that has been hand tied in place for maximum security. These leaders have been designed for using with the largest of flies and heavy sinking lines.

The 60 and 80lb fluorocarbon options feature no wire leader and are hand tied. These leaders feature no twist clip and are designed for targeting spooky fish in clear water conditions.

Each of these leaders come with a perfection loop on the butt end for fast and easy rigging. These leaders are great option when fly fishing for pike as there design helps you to turn over those large difficult to cast flies with ease.
