About the ESN Nymphing Rod
The KonnecticHD Technology is incorporated into the blank of the ESN rod to deliver unmatched and heightened sensitivity, incredible blank recovery and an ultra light weight. The KonnecticHD technology also provides superior shock absorption to better hold fish and helps the rod deliver precise, accurate and efficient presentations.
The HD in KonnecticHD technology stands for higher density and the new proprietary graphite/resin composite increases the strength-to-weight and stiffness-to-weight ratios as needed within the rod blank. The refined medium action has been designed with a variety of long and short line techniques and situations in mind, allowing you to confidently work any stretch of river.
The ESN features a variety of high quality components throughout, including garnet thread wraps with Metallic Charcoal trim wraps and Fuji ceramic stripper guides with hard chrome single foot snake guides and tip-top.
The line weight is laser etched on the slide band and the rod includes a super quality, stealth black anodised aluminium down-locking reel seat. The handle is made from quality cork and is a super plus snub nosed, half-wells styled handle.

About the ESN Nymph Fly Reel
Crafted from fully machined 6061-T6 aerospace-grade aluminium, the Sage ESN Nymph Fly Reel seamlessly merges lightweight design with exceptional strength and rigidity, ensuring durability and performance in the most challenging fishing conditions. Its aerospace-grade aluminium construction offers unmatched resilience to ensure you will be using this reel for many years to come. The reel undergoes a cold forging and tempering process for superior strength and structural integrity, minimising flex and distortion under heavy loads, ideal for pursuing trophy trout. Additionally, featuring a hard-anodised finish, the Sage ESN Nymph Fly Reel is protected against scratches, abrasions, and corrosion, ensuring long-term reliability and performance.
Each ESN Nymph Reel is supplied with 3 interchangeable accessory weights (1/2oz,1oz and 1 1/2oz) to allow you to dial in the correct weight to balance your rod perfectly.
The Sage ESN Nymph Fly Reel features a full frame design, which helps prevent thin lines and tippets from becoming trapped in the reel. This full frame design also makes it far more durable and stable.
Equipped with a sealed carbon system (SCS) drag, the Sage ESN Nymph Fly Reel delivers smooth and consistent drag performance, essential for handling powerful fish with finesse and precision. The SCS drag system provides reliable stopping power to tame powerful runs, ensuring a controlled fight and reducing the risk of line breakage on fine tippets and leaders.
Engineered with a user-friendly one revolution drag knob featuring numbered and indented settings, allowing anglers to quickly and easily adjust the drag to their preferred setting with precision and accuracy. This intuitive design enables anglers to fine-tune their drag on the fly, adapting to changing fishing conditions or the behaviour of hooked fish without missing a beat.
Designed with an ultra-large arbour, the Sage ESN Nymph Fly Reel offers lightning-fast line pick-up, allowing anglers to quickly retrieve line . The expanded circumference of the arbour reduces line memory and increases line retrieval rate, enabling swift hook sets and responsive control over hooked fish.
Featuring a concave arbour design, engineered to provide greater strength and capacity while maintaining a lightweight and balanced feel. This innovative construction enhances the structural integrity of the reel, minimising flex and distortion under heavy loads and ensuring consistent performance in demanding fishing situations.
Each reel can be effortlessly converted from right to left hand wind to suit your needs and the ESN is supplied in a neoprene and embroidered ballistic nylon reel case & spare weight case to keep your reel in top condition when storing or travelling to your fishing spots.
