Description / Veniard Easy Shrimp Eyes
The Veniard Easy Shrimp Eyes are perfect for creating eyes on Shrimp fly patterns and have been designed to make the fly tying technique of shrimp eyes as simple as possible for you.
Sometimes, fly tiers struggle to get the eyes to sit properly on their fly and this can be very frustrating. The Easy Shrimp Eyes have been created so they are exactly the same length and will sit properly every time. The stem of the Y shaped design is flattened with groves and helps make tying these eyes ultra easy and will keep them firmly on your hook.
The eyes themselves are flared outwards and can be adjusted if you like. One way of tying them differently is to tie thread a little bit further from the eye stalks to have the eyes sit closer to the body. Another great thing about these eyes is that you can use several sizes of hooks for your flies, you can either choose to cut some of the tying surface off or tie in the whole tying surface to get a little more volume on the body.
The material of the Shrimp eyes has the same gravity as water so you won't need to be concerned if your fly will sink or float due to the weight of the eyes.
The black colour is as standard and the phosphorescent colour will glow in the dark. The fluorescent colours have a super bright, fluorescent effect and you can see the effect under a UV light.
