Description / Hareline Senyos Laser Dub

Built for fly tyers who demand versatile dubbing combined with unparalleled flash and movement, Hairline Senyo’s Laser Dub is designed to give you a material that is as effective as it is easy to work with.

Hareline Dubbin, a go to name for fly tying materials since 1981, has been highly appreciated by tiers around the world. The Laser Dub is a great example of this commitment to quality, which has been developed in collaboration with Greg Senyo, a highly respected fly tyer, to create a long-fibred, synthetic dubbing that can be used for anything from streamer heads to tiny nymphs.

Hareline Senyo’s Laser Dub is a unique custom blend of fine acrylic fibres and flashy Ice Dub. This combination creates a material that consists of a wonderfully soft texture and very discreet light reflexes that make it incredibly lifelike in the water. It is remarkably versatile and can be used in a variety of applications. You can spin it onto your thread for dubbed bodies, use it in a dubbing loop for a full, voluminous effect or tie it as a head for a “veiled wool” style pattern.

The fibres are long, making them fantastic for bodies for larger streamers, and they are able to retain their volume underwater while shedding water easily on the backcast, keeping your flies light.

This material is available in a wide variety of colours, from very natural tones to vibrant fluorescents and is an absolute must-have for tying effective salmon, sea trout, trout and saltwater patterns.

It comes in a convenient packet with a generous handful of dubbing with each fibre length ranging between 1” and 1 ½”.
