About the Shakespeare Oracle 2 Spey Fly Rod

The Shakespeare Oracle 2 Spey Fly rod is a high performance salmon fly rod and designed with a durable blank and crisp action for optimum performance, at a fantastic price point.

Featuring a Spey style blank design, this allows anglers to use full or multi-tip style lines so you can cover a range of fishing scenarios. The blank is made from high grade carbon fibre for durability and a light in hand feel without compromising on the crisp action.

The rods feature a high quality double down locking aluminium reel seat for added security. All models are fitted with a AAA grade cork handle and the handle is designed to be slightly longer in length for more control.

Each rod has a 4 piece design and is fitted throughout with lined stripper guides. The rods include a hook keeper ring to wind your line in tight when moving from place to place and have a steel grey colour finish.

Introducing the new addition to the Oracle fly reel family, the Oracle 2. Featuring the same large arbour design and professional finish as the original, this reel offers great performance and value for money.

The Oracle 2 Fly Reel is constructed from strong die cast aluminium allowing for maximum durability and providing a sleek finish. The large arbour design helps to reduce line memory and to improve line pick up speed when playing those larger species.

With an incredibly strong smooth disc drag it has never been easier to control those long runs when playing a fish of a lifetime. The spools for the original Oracle series are also compatible with the Oracle 2 series making it ideal for complementing your existing collection.

With easy left to right conversion, it makes it easy to swap when out on the water. The reel is finished in a gun smoke colouration with a CNC machined handle for a professional look.

Featuring Snowbee’s XS Plus Nano coating technology which provides you with an exceptionally smooth fly line coating that creates less friction when casting, allowing it to shoot through the rings like a dream giving you improved casting distances. This innovative technology also improves on the coatings durability, helping keep your line in top condition so you can be sure it will last season after season.

With a two tone colouration that has a light blue head and a dark blue running line which makes it easy to identify the loading point of the line and when to shoot. This also allows for easy identification of when the full head is outwith the tip of the rod and makes it easier for you to manage the line.
