Description / Seaguar Grand Max Fluorocarbon
Seaguar holds a unique and prestigious place in fishing history. As the original inventors of fluorocarbon fishing line in Japan in 1971, they have been at the forefront of line technology for decades.
Seaguar is the only company that controls the entire manufacturing process from resin to finished product, a commitment to quality that ensures every spool of Grand Max is of an unparalleled standard. The secret to the superior performance of Grand Max lies in Seaguar’s exclusive "Double Structure" technology. This process combines two different 100% fluorocarbon resins into one solid piece. The result is a line with a strong, hard inner core for incredible tensile strength, surrounded by a softer, more supple exterior for superior knot strength and manageability. This innovative construction allows Grand Max to have a smaller diameter for its breaking strain, giving anglers a huge advantage.
Grand Max is known for having a higher breaking strain to diameter ratio than many other fluorocarbons. Its unique double-structure construction provides a low-stretch line with an incredible combination of strength and sensitivity, allowing you to feel even the most subtle takes.
With a refractive index that is nearly the same as water, it is virtually undetectable to fish.
Grand Max is also a fast-sinking line, making it perfect for getting flies and lures down quickly, and its high resistance to abrasion, fatigue, and UV damage ensures it remains reliable for longer.
Seaguar Grand Max comes in a wide range of breaking strains, from 3.5lbs to 16.5lbs, offering a solution to a wide variety of fishing situations. The spool comes in either 30yard or 100yard spools, allowing you to continue using this line for many trips to come.
