Description / Veniard Mallard Duck Flank Feathers
The Mallard Duck Flank Feathers have beautifully subtle mottled markings and are available in different colours. These feathers are most commonly used in Trout fly tying.
These feathers are fairly versatile. They are commonly used for hackle collars on Spider flies and their long fibres for body hackles. The feathers are also used for Nymph legs, tails and wings and often for streamer patterns in Salmon and Trout flies.
Good examples of flies that have the Mallard Duck Flank feathers are the Deacon, Brown Mallard and Light and Dark Cahill.
Available in 3 different sizes: Small, Medium and Large and each size is available in various colours.
Small approx 10cm Length and 3cm in Width.
Medium approx 12cm Length and 4cm in Width.
Small has approximately 7 feathers and Medium has approximately 10 feathers.
