About the Aydon Fly Rod
Designed and constructed with Hardy’s world renowned Sintrix material which produces an overall lighter and progressively stronger blank than traditional carbon fibre, helping reduce the weight of your set up and providing you with 30% added strength. The reduction in weight achieved by using a unique multi modulus Sintrix carbon blank that also helps to make these rods incredibly responsive giving you ultimate feedback and feel during your casts providing you incredible loop control.

The Hardy Aydon range of fly rods feature a medium to fast action blank, meaning there is plenty of reserve power in the butt end and a nice through action throughout the rest of the rod making it perfect for a range of applications. The medium to fast action is suited to both the experienced and beginner angler alike as it is extremely easy to load, whilst still allowing you to make exceptionally accurate and long distance casts.

Fitted with high quality ceramic insert stripper guides on the lower sections and hard chrome single leg guides throughout. Topping off the rod is a hard chrome tip ring that is extremely durable and that will allow your lines to shoot through with ease. The single leg guides also help reduce the overall weight and prevent any negative impact on the rod blanks natural action.

Each rod is fitted with a high quality grade cork handle for a professional finish and ensuring an increased longevity so you can be sure you will be using the rod for many seasons to come. Finishing off the rod is a high quality up locking lightweight keyed reel seat for ease of use that will feature either a wood or aluminium spacer depending on the model. Each reel seat features double up locking screws for securing your chosen reel in place.

The bottom of the reels seat on the large models feature a cork/EVA fighting butt whilst the lighter models feature a Hardy logo end cap. On each section there are line up ID markers for quickly being able to identify if rod sections are straight when setting up. Each rod features a dark olive colouration blank with aesthetically pleasing olive whippings and trims throughout.

With hours of on the water testing and development behind each rod and a range of models within the line up to suit everything from dry fly fishing for small trout on streams and rivers to the larger models ideal for loch-style fishing for larger trout.

Each rod is a 4 piece configuration and is supplied in a high quality protective cloth rod bag and is housed in an olive finish protective cordura travel tube providing you with ultimate protection for your rod when on the go or when storing.

Classic Design with Modern Features: The reel features a large arbour spool design for fast line retrieval and reduced line memory. The 4000-7000 sizes come with an open cage design for a lightweight feel, while the larger 9000 size has an enclosed frame for added strength and protection whilst preventing thin running lines from becoming trapped. A secure slide switch cassette locking system makes swapping spools quick and easy.

Each Hardy Averon is supplied with a neoprene reel and spool case, ensuring your reel and extra spools are protected from damage during transport.

About the RIO Premier Gold Fly Line
This fly line is built with RIO’s SlickCast coating that allows the line to be one of the slickest and most durable on the market. This line will produce absolutely minimal friction and effortlessly shoot through your rod guides.

The tapered design that gives loop stability at distance and the unique profile allows your rod to load at close range. The font taper that delivers perfect presentation of your flies between sizes #22 and #2.

The MaxFloat Tip technology, includes RIO’s proprietary tip coating formula that will float more than twice as high as regular line tips, without any increase in diameter.
