Introducing the Abel Vaya 7/8 Native Brown Trout Fly Reel, a handcrafted lightweight, high performance and exceptionally stylish range of reels designed in Colorado for enthusiastic fly anglers worldwide!
Handcrafted in the USA by Abel’s expert reel engineers, these reels have been produced for some of the world's top fishing guides for the last 40 years and have accounted for more IGFA world records and industry design awards than any other tackle company in the world.
The Vaya features a partially ported frame which reduces weight, provides incredible rigidity and enough surface to display the hand-anodised brown trout pattern.
Designed with a large arbour spool which features a precision-balanced, dual-pawl drag engagement design that eliminates the need for a counterweight. Featuring an incoming clicker creates an attractive audible sound that also compliments the smooth feel of the outgoing drag.
Fitted with a carbon/stainless multi-disk drag system that produces a substantial amount of stopping power, while the brown trout patterned drag knob allows you to finely tube the drag which is critical when fishing with delicate tippets.
The large arbour design enables high line pick up speeds whilst also helping to reduce line memory. Each reel is supplied with its own protective reel pouch to protect your investment when on the go or storing.
The Abel Vaya 7/8 Fly Reel is available in the native brown trout colouration with a brown trout coloured drag knob and a walnut handle.
