Handcrafted in the USA by Abel’s expert reel engineers these reels have been produced for some of the worlds top fishing guides for the last 40 years and have accounted for more IGFA world records and industry design awards than any other tackle company in the world.

The reel frame, spool, drag knob and foot is produced from 6061-T651 aerospace grade aluminium for incredible strength and rigidity. This material also helps to reduce weight keeping these reel incredibly lightweight helping reduce fatigue on those long days on the flats.

Featuring a super powerful alternating stacked carbon composite and stainless steel disc drag system which yields 20+ pounds of braking power that is fully sealed from the elements. This drag can be easily adjusted with the easy to locate drag knob perfect for fine tuning the drag during a fight when using light tippets for bonefish.

Designed with a large arbour which allows for quick line pick up speed whilst also helping to reduce memory on your fly lines when storing. Each reel is supplied with its own protective reel pouch to protect your investment when on the go or storing.

The Abel SDS 7/8 Fly Reel is available in the Larko Bonefish colouration with a black coloured drag knob and a platinum handle.
