Upavon Brush-On Varnish is a thin-viscosity head cement used by fly tiers to secure tying threads, coat whip-finish knots, and build smooth, durable finishes on fly bodies. Packaged in a compact bottle with an easy-grip screw cap, it features an integrated fine-tip applicator brush designed for neat, precise placement on the hook.

The varnish is blended with an ultra-thin consistency that allows it to soak deeply into thread wraps and natural materials rather than pooling on top. This fast-absorbing quality ensures even distribution, sealing the fly's head or body without adding unwanted bulk.

All Purpose: The classic, traditional amber lacquer formula. It dries clear with a slight natural tint, serving as a universal choice for locking down whip-finishes on standard nymphs, wet flies, and dry flies.
UV Reflective: A clear varnish infused with an ultra-violet reflective compound. It creates a subtle, glowing hotspot under water that helps predatory fish locate the fly in low-light or deep-water conditions.
Hard Coat: A clear, ultra-thin formula infused with nylon for maximum impact resistance. It creates a highly durable outer shell, making it ideal for coating buzzer bodies, perdigon nymphs, and protective wing cases.
Black: A rich, deep black lacquer. This opaque formula eliminates the need to use black thread or markers when finishing a fly, making it easy to build bold, glossy thread heads or paint details like eyes onto metal beads.
