Rapala Countdown Elite

The Rapala CountDown Elite harnesses over 80 years of lure making craftmanship into a premium balsa lure. The Elite series has a few differences compared to the classic countdown.

First of all, cosmetically, the Elite has a higher back profile and is slightly narrower in body profile. This in conjunction with its slightly denser body, means the elite sinks faster than the standard countdown.

Not only does it sink faster, but thanks to its unique body design and weighting, the Elite actually has an enticing flutter when it sinks. The Countdown Elite also has heavy duty through wire construction.

Rapala have put major emphasis on these construction changes and have tested the strength of this construction to destruction, Rapalas tests indicate that the Countdown Elite can deal with a pull force of 60-70kg - which is beyond belief for a lure of this size! Meaning it will withstand the toughest of species.

The new CountDown Elite’s aerodynamic body profile is designed to aid maximum casting distance. The bill is a lot smaller than the original countdown and features a concave design, this provides the very erratic action associated with the new Elite.

The new bill design also allows you to retrieve the lure extremely quick without the lure blowing out and losing its action. The colour patterns combine metallic plating, HD printing and new designs, bringing the look to a totally new level.

The Rapala CountDown Elite is available in various sizes and colours for you to choose from. There is one lure provided per pack.
