The RIO MDC 12ft Sink Tips (Multi Density Control) are advanced, short sink tips designed to maximise the performance of VersiTip-style lines and shooting heads. Their unique dual density coating delivers a smoother turnover and faster sink rate where it counts, providing the ultimate advantage for accurate salmon and sea trout fishing.

The ground-breaking performance of the RIO MDC Sink Tips is built upon RIO’s proprietary SlickCast coating and Multi Density Control (MDC) technology. The tips are engineered with a precise dual density coating, where each of the two 6ft sections has a different density. This creates an even, smooth energy flow that is a massive benefit to easy, effortless casting and great presentation. They feature a gradual front taper for excellent turnover and are finished with a colour coded sleeve on the rear loop for Easy ID.

The key feature of these tips is the dual density coating, which makes the tip sink faster where it counts (closer to the fly), while providing the smoothest possible turnover of a sink tip. The dual density, 12ft tips are made with a 6ft length of each density, creating an even, smooth energy flow that is a massive benefit to easy, effortless casting, and great presentation. The gradual front taper ensures excellent presentation and turnover of the majority of salmon and sea trout flies. The colour coded sleeve on the rear loop ensures fast, easy recognition, and the intermediate section on the Hover/Intermediate (H/I) tip is clear for added stealth.
