Description / Hareline Turkey Biot Quills
The Hareline Turkey Biot Quills are the short, stiff parts of the leading edge of the primary wing feathers from a Turkey bird. These biots are similar to the Goose Biots but are much longer and are famous for their bright variety of colours for bodies in Trout fly tying.
The outside edge of a turkey biot has a small ridge on it that makes a very natural shape so its great for when tying bodies specifically on Nymphs and for wing cases, tails and quill wings on Trout dry flies.
Common examples of flies that use Turkey Biot feathers are the well known Prince Nymph, GRHE Prince Nymph and the Copper John.
The Turkey Biots size in the packet is approximately 26cm in Length x 3.5cm in Width and in each pack there are 2 quills.
Available in 22 different colours: DT, Black, Grey, Grey Olive, Hendrickson, Cahill, Light Olive, Mahogany, Olive, Pale Morn Dun, Pale Olive, Blue Winged Olive, Red, Rusty Spinner, Sulpher Orange, Trico, White, Yellow, Yellow Tan, Brown, Caddis Green and Callibaetis.
