Bug Bond UV Cure Resin

Bug Bond is a new and revolutionary UV Cure resin used as a replacement for normal varnish or adhesives. These 20ml bottles of UV Cure resin are available in 2 viscosities Bug-Bond Original and the new less viscous version Bug-Bond Lite.

With drying times of only a few seconds this new product is causing a storm in the fly tying community! Commonly used as a coating material on flies, but can also be used during rod manufacture or repair.

"Fly fishing has to be one of the most rewarding methods of fishing for any species. It is the ability to trick a fish into believing that a jumble of old feathers, fur, man made fibre and a bit of flash is the next tasty meal. Whether it is visually an imitation of what they've been eating courtesy of mother nature or merely a prompt to strike, who knows what the fish thinks.

One of the many materials you will use when tying a fly is an adhesive or a varnish. I don't like using solvent based materials and without any real alternative in the UK I decided to develop an alternative. Over a year down the line and a lot of testing I found the answer I was looking for. The answer is in the shape of a photo-activated acrylic which I've called Bug-Bond."
