Introducing the Abel TR 5/6 Fly Reel, a newly updated version of the original and classic model. These reels have been designed with the light line river fishing enthusiast in mind!
Handcrafted in the USA - Hand built by Abel’s expert reel engineers in Colorado, these reels have been produced for some of the world's top fishing guides for the last 40 years and have accounted for more IGFA world records and industry design awards than any other tackle company in the world.
6061-T651 Aluminium Construction - The reel frame, spool, drag knob and foot is produced from 6061-T651 aerospace grade aluminium for incredible strength and rigidity. This material also helps to reduce weight keeping these reel incredibly lightweight helping reduce fatigue on those long days on the water.
Click Pawl Drag - The time honoured click-pawl drag system protects light tippet whilst preventing overrun. To enable you to slow runs these reels have been designed with an oversized palming rim to allow you to manually control the drag.
Integrated Clicker - An integrated precision-balanced clicker on the spool eliminates the need for a counterweight, yielding a clean look and retaining an iconic click-pawl sound.
Large Arbour Design - The large-arbour spool is engineered to reduce line memory and increase retrieval rate. This is crucial when fishing with finer leaders and lines.
Unique Finish - Abel is renowned for its one-of-a-kind finishes - Meaning your reel is uniquely your own and may vary in actual appearance and colour to this rendering.
Protective Reel Case - Each reel is supplied in a protective reel case for maximum protection of your investment when storing or when on the go.
