The Madison X Wychwood Wading Jacket represents a premium collaboration combining Wychwood's 35 years of game fishing expertise with Madison’s decades of technical outdoor apparel design. Tailored specifically for demanding fly anglers, this high-performance shell is finished in a deep, stealthy Midnight Green that blends seamlessly into river and lakeside backgrounds.
Engineered for ultimate defence against torrential downpours and deep river wading, the jacket is constructed from a premium 3-layer stretch fabric. This provides an incredible 20,000mm hydrostatic head waterproof rating paired with an industry-leading 40,000 MVP breathability rating to ensure you stay dry inside and out during active sessions. The added material stretch ensures completely unrestricted motion through your shoulder and elbow joints when casting.
The layout is optimised for high-capacity organisation. Two large front box pockets are specifically sized to accommodate full-sized fly and tackle boxes, while two centrally positioned, Tricot-lined handwarmer pockets offer fast warmth in cold temperatures. On the back, a spacious dual-access zippered game pocket lets you stow larger items like hats or extra gear with ease. At the wrists, internal neoprene-style storm cuffs combine with external Velcro adjusters to form a watertight seal, preventing water from rushing up your arms when releasing fish or casting into the wind.
