Varivas Big Mouth XTRA Hooks Packet

The Varivas Big Mouth XTRA Hooks are an incredibly strong stepped up version of the classic Big Mouth range of hooks. The BMX series of hooks are simply a must have in any specimen anglers tackle box as they provide you with 100% reliability and confidence when taming the largest of hard fighting fish, from both the boat and shore.

Produced in Japan with a 2x strong forged wire ensuring these hooks will not bend even under extreme amounts of pressure, whilst they also maintain that super sticky sharp point which provides impressive penetration and hook hold. Finished in a low glare gunmetal finish to help avoid spooking wary fish species such as bass.

These hooks feature a round bend ensuring your hook and bait can be easily clipped down for improved casting performance whilst the medium length shank makes it incredibly easy to secure your bait in place. This range of hooks is ideal for using with a variety of baits from worm and crab to larger fish baits and the small neat eye design prevents any damage being done to your baits when threading them over the eye.

The reliable heavy gauge and super sticky point make these hooks a firm favourite amongst a number of the UK’s top specimen hunters as they will easily tame the largest of fish over rough ground and in the biggest of tides. These hooks are finished with a small neat barb which can easily be crushed down if and when required.

Available in a multitude of sizes which allow them to be used for a multitude of species with the 1/0 to 5/0 hooks being ideal for fishing for species like cod and smooth hound, the 4/0 to 6/0’s are ideal for rays and specimen sized fish whilst the largest sizes 6/0 and 8/0 are ideal for targeting hard fighting species such as conger, tope and even skate. The largest hooks in the range are perfect for using with larger fish baits and ensure you get a good solid hook hold when taming those large once in a lifetime catches.
