Description / Turrall Select Indian Hen Hackles
The Turrall Select Indian Hen Hackles are perfect for any fly tyer who wants a low cost option for Hen Hackles but doesn't wish to buy a full neck. These hackles are great for wet Trout flies, especially Nymphs.
The Hen hackle feathers are softer than the cock feathers. They are most commonly used for hackle collars due to giving natural movement in the water.
Common flies that use the Indian Hen Hackles are the Black & Peacock Spider, the Orange Kee-Hee and Cruncher Pearl Quill.
Due to the natural fibres in the feathers, the Turrall Select Indian Hen Hackles vary in length but are approximately 5cm in length and there are an average of 30 in a pack.
The Indian hen hackles come in 11 different colours which are Badger, Black, Brown, Claret, Furnace, Ginger, Hot Orange, Medium Olive, Red, White and Yellow.
