Description / Turrall Cock Hackles
The general cock hackles are mainly used for streamer patterns as the feathers are webby and sturdy so they hold their shape in the water. Occasionally they can be used as tail patterns, wing patterns and wound as hackle too.
Flies that commonly use Cock Hackles are the Kate McLaren and Wickham's Fancy.
There is an average of 30 feathers in the pack and they come in 9 different colours. These are Badger, Black, Blue Dun, Claret, Furnace, Ginger, Grizzle, Olive Medium and Red/Brown.
Due to the natural fibres in the feathers, the Turrall Cock Hackles all vary in their length but are approximately 8cm.
