Troutline Hand Selected Stripped Quills are the definitive material for tying clean, highly defined segmented bodies on nymphs, duns, buzzers, and dry flies. Sourced from premium Polish peacock eyes, each quill is meticulously processed by hand.
Because these quills are hand-sorted, tyers receive only the straightest, most flexible, and uniformly coloured quills. One side of the stripped quill features a distinct dark edge, which creates a striking, anatomically correct contrast (segmentation) when wrapped around a hook shank. This makes it an essential choice for tying classic patterns like the Quill Gordon, precision buzzers, and modern European-style nymphs.
