Description / Trident Kicker
The Trident Kicker is a universal bait clip designed and developed by Trident Tackle in the UK.
The Kicker is used to securely hold your baited hooks while casting to provide a more compact and aerodynamic rig, which helps to aid bait presentation and increase casting distance. The hook simply hooks into the Kicker, the weight of the lead keeps the hook in place until the rig is cast out and hits the water where the unique shape of the Kicker causes it to flip over and release the hook.
The Kicker features a unique lead lock clip constructed from a strong stainless steel, making them suitable for power casting applications. To attach the Kicker to your rig simply use a Trident Termalink or similar rig clip of your choice on the end of your rig body (do not tie snood directly onto the kicker). The Kicker is compatible with a wide range of hook sizes and is designed to be used with aerial style casts only – they are not suitable for off the ground style casts.
