The new FD model is once again raising the quality standards for fixed spool spinning reels offering smoothness and power every angler should experience.

Built with all of the latest technologies these reels feature HAGANE drive gear, produced using Shimano’s coldforging technology without the need for additional machining these reels deliver smoothness, strength and lightweight power season after season no matter how rigorously you use them. The gears now include micro module gearing making them even smoother than previous models.

One of the greatest features of these reels is the inclusion of silent drive technologies which removes the clicking sound and handle play when reeling to increase smoothness and appearance. On top of this the newest interaction of Xprotect which offers considerable water resistance from splashing of waves and sea spray keeping this reel running silky smooth even in the harshest of conditions.

Designed with a one piece bail wire that has no gap for line to snag on during any normal operations, Made from high grade stainless steel this bail seeks to further reduce friction and allow the line to get onto the roller quicker, increasing casting distance and accuracy overall.

G free body technology has been developed to shift the centre of gravity closer to the rod allowing for a much more balanced set up even with a slightly larger reel reducing casting fatigue and enhancing comfort.
