Shimano Speedmaster

The Shimano Speedmaster is an excellent value, high performance pit style reel that is excellent for both coarse and beach casting applications.

Built with Shimano’s XT-7 material with a cold forged aluminium ARC spool offering exceptional salt water resistance, casting ability and most importantly a smooth professional finish.

Each reel has been crafted with G free body technology which has been developed to shift the reels centre of gravity closer the rods which causes less fatigue and enhances casting performance. On top of this the parallel body technology allows for the spool to be lined out parallel to the rod resulting in the reduction of line touching the rod and subsequently increasing your casting distance!

Featuring X-ship technology for much greater efficiency, this is achieved by moving the pinion gear much closer to the centre line of the large diameter drive gear which transfers more power from the rotor to the handle to help tame those fish making long powerful runs.

With a Hi-Speed drag system allowing you to quickly switch from freespool mode to fight mode with a very small rotation of the drag knob. Perfect for when needing to increase the tension quickly during a fight.

The Shimano Speedmaster is available in one size only, comes in multiple colours and does not come supplied with a spare spool.
