Shimano Speedcast XS B

The Shimano Speedcast XS B is designed as a big pit, surf spinning reel that offers anglers remarkable, long distance casting and maximum reliability.

This fixed spool reel is packed with an abundance of incredible features. The X-Ship feature combines various aspects of the reel to work together for enhanced efficiency and the XT7 body construction offers durability and a light weight. Also incorporating a DynaBalance system, this helps to reduce wobble during retrieves by counter-balancing the rotor enhancing sensitivity and smoothness. By using computer balancing Shimano are able to redistribute the rotor weight to eliminate vibrations.

Fitted with a powerful retrieve ratio of 4.3:1, this reel also has a massive retrieval rate of 103cm of line per handle turn, making it perfect for long distance fishing. The Aero Wrap II provides superb and uniformed line lay and combined with the slow oscillation and cold forged AR-C spool also make this reel an excellent distance casting reel.

Each reel is also fitted with an Instant Drag spool which allows the drag setting to be switched from free spool to a ‘fight’ setting by tightening the Instant Drag lever on the front of the spool in only a few turns.

The Shimano Speedcast XS B is available in a 14000 model and is a stunning silvery blue in colour with Royal blue colour accents. This reel is perfect for long range surf fishing or for specimen anglers who prefer the Instant Drag facility.
