Shimano Baitrunner ST FB

Available in the same sizes as the DL model, but with fewer ball bearings, the Baitrunner ST-FB is the entry-level small Baitrunner. Don't let that put you off though, the affordable ST model is still oozing with quality, as you would expect from a Shimano baitrunner. The 2500 size is perfect for feeder fishing, perch bait fishing or even trout bait fishing tactics, whilst the 4000 size offers more versatility and power making it suitable for all general, pleasure and specialist fishing.

Coming equipped with some of Shimano's signature features, the ST sports: Varispeed line lay for improved line lay which aids casting distance and accuracy, Super Stopper II which eliminates backward movement and free play in the reel handle when the anti-reverse is engaged, XT-7 body which produces a robust and reliable body to house Shimano's unrivalled gearing and the iconic baitrunner spool 2 system that allows fish to take line under a controlled free spool.


Similar in design to the Baitrunner DL FB and available in the same sizes, the difference in the Shimano Baitrunner ST FB is that it has 1 shielded stainless steel bearings and 1 roller bearing as opposed to 3. This is what makes this reel a great choice for a beginner or even as a spare.

The Shimano Baitrunner ST FB is a black reel with silver highlight accents and is supplied with its own instruction manual. Among the many Shimano Baitrunner reels, the ST FB is certainly a dark horse that will be sure to impress you.
