Description / Scientific Anglers Mastery Expert Distance Competition Fly Line
The Scientific Anglers Mastery Expert Distance Competition Fly Line provides you with ultra smooth casting and achieves phenomenal distance with ease, even in windy conditions. Designed with an extra-long head and rear taper, this line will let you throw mends you didn’t think were even possible.
The extra-long head and tapers allow smooth long distance casting and provide excellent long distance line control. The compound head design ensures strong turnover at distance and the line itself is constructed from a highly durable braided multifilament core.
Each line also features Scientific Anglers’ patented dry-slick, Advanced Shooting technology which provides exceptional line slickness so the line can shoot much father when it passes through the guides. The coating easily sheds off dirt, algae and lets the line cast out further, float higher and stay a lot cleaner.
On the first 1-2 feet of your line, you will also find a line identification marking system to you can easily identify your line with a single glance. There are also welded loops on both ends, providing slickness and strength. These loops provide a seamless fly-line-to-loop transition, making for softer landings and cleaner pickups. The sleek design also maintains buoyancy for improved fly-line flotation and enables quicker connections between fly line and leaders or fly line and backing.
The competition line is designed to be used in moderate to cool conditions and is ideal for use with dries, nymphs and streamers.
