The RIO Fly Line Backing is a traditional Dacron braided backing that offers superior strength and a low stretch to make one of the highest quality backings available on the market.
This backing is constructed from Dacron braided material for enhanced strength and long lasting durability. The backing is incredibly thin to give you bigger backing capacity on your fly reel and offers a good compromise between thinness and the ability to make blind splice loops.
The low stretch allows this backing to cut through water with little resistance and as the backing has a low stretch, we recommend you tie this to your line very securely and with a loop to loop connection.
The RIO Fly Line Backing is available in different colours, lengths and breaking strains that you can select from our drop down menu.
