RIO Classic 20ft Sink Tips Set of 4

The RIO Classic 20ft Sink Tips are a new addition for 2026, designed to extend the overall length of the head and tip combination for longer salmon rods—ideally 15ft and more. These tips provide exceptionally smooth turnover and powerful casting performance, excelling at presenting typical salmon and sea trout flies.

The tips feature a gradual taper profile that is precisely engineered to ensure efficient energy transfer, turning over flies perfectly. Each tip is fitted with front and back welded loops for quick rigging and a colour-coded sleeve at the back end for Easy ID.

The key feature of these tips is their superior length and power. These are 20ft tapered tips that excel at turning over and presenting typical salmon and sea trout flies, and are designed to be added to the front of Scandi and Skagit bodies. The gradual front taper offers excellent presentation. The intermediate tips are now completely clear in colour, a major improvement for stealth. Each tip has a colour coded sleeve at the back end to ensure fast, easy recognition. The range includes Intermediate, Sink 3, Sink 5, and Sink 7 options.

The RIO Classic 20ft Sink Tips are available in two weights to suit longer rods: #9+ (175gr, grey sleeve) and “Power” (200gr, yellow sleeve).
