The Rapala X-Rap Peto is a truly unique and effective lure. A durable ABS hard body with a soft PVC tail creates a truly fantastic hybrid swimbait. The secret lies in a slow sink rate and perfectly horizontal fall, which is an ideal presentation for cold water conditions, when fish are lethargic, and can be fished extremely slowly, ensuring even the most sluggish of pike get a chance to hit this lure hard.

On a steady retrieve, the soft tail kicks with a wide, enticing action, but in summer months, when the fishing is a lot faster, a jerk and pause technique can be deadly, mimicking a baitfish struggling whilst descending into the depths.

The soft tail is fitted securely to the body using a durable and form fitting 6-point stainless plate, and with each lure coming with a spare tail, you can swap a bitten and worn tail out with ease, replacing the tail and maximising the effectiveness of your lure, ensuring your lure fishes at it’s absolute best.

Each lure comes fitted with a VMC Coastal Black treble hook, which are more than strong enough to handle the largest of predators.

This lure comes in two sizes, 14cm (39g) and 20cm (83g), both optimised for a swimming depth of 0.5-1m. This lure is perfectly at home around shallow marks, weed beds and around structure. This lure also comes in a wide variety of colours, allowing you to match the hatch for whatever destination you end up fishing!
