Popping up your bait has a range of benefits when ledgering, including making your bait more visible to nearby fish and keeping your bait clear of weed or debris on the bottom. The PikePro Balsa Sticks are a quick and easy way to give your bait added buoyancy and cause it to pop up off the bottom.

Once your bait has defrosted the Balsa Stick is simply inserted inside your bait and attached to your trace using a short length of wire or rigging wire. Attaching the Balsa Stick to the trace prevents them from being lost and removes the risk of fish ingesting them should your bait fall off the hooks, the Balsa Sticks feature a flexible metal ring to make this rigging easier.
