Penn Fathom II Lever Drag Reel

The Penn Fathom II Lever Drag Reels are the newest edition to the Penn Fathom line up – Penn have taken an already best in class reel and raised the bar even further! The new Fathom II Lever Drag offers anglers a tough, reliable lever drag reel perfectly suited for everything from jigging, trolling, drifting or ledgering baits for large, hard fighting species.

The one piece machined aluminium frame and sideplate houses a host of features, including a Dura-Drag system, stainless steel main and pinion gears, a forged and machined aluminium spool and 5 stainless ball bearings. All this combines to give the angler the ultimate in strength and reliability – these reels won’t let you down, no matter where you’re fishing!

The Fathom II features an updated preset drag knob which now operates on a pull-to-turn system, this allows the angler to set their drag at the beginning of the day and not have to worry about accidentally knocking or changing it throughout the day. The smooth lever drag allows you to effortlessly go from freespool to strike in one smooth motion. A button depress allows the drag to be pushed to sunset, applying additional drag pressure to help tame those monster fish! The Dura-drag system is capable of producing a massive 50lb of drag pressure in the larger size reels.

The smooth side plate has been designed to sit comfortably in the angler's palm making these reels a joy to fish with, even on a long day. The clicker button allows the clicker to be easily switched off and on making these reels suitable for bait fishing applications too.

The spool features the signature Penn line capacity rings, allowing you to quickly see how much line you have left, these reels are finished in a sleek looking silver and black colour scheme.

Available in a range of sizes from 10 to 60 these reels are suited to a huge range of fishing applications. The smaller 10 and 15 size reels will be ideal for a range of lure fishing or light bait fishing/drifting applications while the 25 and 30 size will handle heavier lure fishing or drifting and will even handle hard fighting species such as tope with ease! The larger 40 and 60 size Fathom II’s are for taming true monsters of the deep and will deal with hauling up huge cod, halibut and even skate.

These reels are also supplied with a rod clamp, to securely fix them to the rod.
