The Penn Authority sets a whole new standard in quality within the Penn reel line up. The Authority range focuses on being the best in its class in terms of smoothness and sealing.
The Penn Authority reel has been 3 years in the making and Penn have raised the bar with the new Authority range of reels! These reels are not only incredibly durable and reliable, but are also stunning reels to look at with a smoothness that needs to be experienced to fully appreciate.
The Authority range feature a 12+1 stainless steel bearing system giving this workhorse of a reel an incredibly smooth feel. The Leveline Slow Oscillation System offers outstanding line lay, resulting in superior casting performance. CNC Gear technology, precision-cut stainless steel gear train and the Dura-Drag system offering unrivalled performance and power.
All of this technology is housed inside an IPX8 sealed body and spool providing unparalleled waterproofing and sealing, guaranteeing that no water will penetrate and reach the internal components, even if the reel is submerged.
All of these features combined gives these reels the ability to tame anything that swims!
The extensive Authority range covers every size and gear ratio to provide a reel suited to every fishing scenario. With sizes from 2500 through to 10500, and drags capable of producing up to 60lb of pressure, these reels are incredible bits of kit that any serious angler will appreciate!
