Battery Care Guidelines

Whilst partially discharging and recharging the battery from time to time will do no harm at all; to prolong the life of the battery the manufacturer recommends that you try to limit the discharge of the battery to approximately 50% under normal use. For this reason we suggest it is good practice to choose a battery with a larger capacity than normally required.

The use of a non-voltage regulated trickle charger to maintain a marine battery is discouraged as they can over charge a battery over time. We recommend the 10 amp Automatic Numax 121000 charger which is voltage regulated and can be left connected to keep your marine battery conditioned and fully charged. This charger also has the ability to recover from a fully discharged state.
