Mustad Cod Pennel Rig T50

The Mustad Cod Pennel Rig T50 uses two hooks close together on the hook trace. This is to allow you to use bigger baits or a cocktail of baits. The two hooks allow for improved hook up ratio and eliminates the chances of the bait sliding down and masking the hook point.

In addition to that, this rig is used for medium or maximum range and is good for hitting early bites. In terms of baits to use with this rig, it is ideal for big lugworm and ragworm baits, large soft or peeler crab baits, whole squid, large mackerel fillets or whole large sandeel.

The rig can be used at range as the impact shield allows you to hook down your bait, making it streamlined for casting at distance. Use bait elastic to whip the bait securely when using fish and crab.
