Description / Metz Grade 3 Cock Neck
This is the Grade 3 Metz Cock Neck. These necks are a low cost alternative to Grade 1 but still offer a wealth of feathers that are ideal for small Trout fly tying due to their stiff and strong hackles.
The feathers on the cock neck are usually found tied on Trout dry flies as parachute hackle. The feathers can also be found on Pike flies as the long feathers are great for streamer patterns.
Common flies found with the Cock Neck feathers is the Klink and Dink, Soir Klink and Detached Mayfly Dun.
