The Major Craft Benkei Bait Finesse offers a true Japanese designed BFS rod with an attractive price tag. Perfect for anglers looking for an ultralight lure rod to target perch and other predatory species with a BFS style baitcaster reel!
The rod is built around a lightweight, fast action Toray carbon blank, which keeps the rod light in hand while still maintaining a crisp action.
Combined with the ultra-light casting range, this allows the blank to load up and cast micro lures and jigs accurately with minimum effort and without fear of backlashes while still maintaining the required sensitivity in the tip to work lures and detect takes.
The sensitive tip leads into a lower half that packs a surprising punch, ensuring you have the power in reserve to subdue a big fish should one come along.
Low profile Fuji K series guides along the blank help control the line and reduce tangles without adding excess weight.
A gloss black Fuji reel seat with trigger grip and EVA abbreviated handles keep the rod comfortable in hand when fishing with baitcaster reels. The Fuji reel seat is finished with a carbon trimmed down-locking collar with no EVA fore grip. This allows the angler to place their finger on the blank while working the lure, increasing feel and sensitivity.
The shorter handle means single handed or underhand casts are possible to place lures in hard to reach areas, such as under overhanging vegetation.
The blank is finished in a gloss black colour with gold and silver accents and is supplied with a quality protective rod bag.
