At the core of the Torne V2’s weather-shielding power is the SympaTex 3-layer membrane, a market-leading alternative to PTFE-based membranes (like Gore-Tex) that provides unmatched waterproofing and breathability without compromising eco-conscious design.

Featuring an impressive 45,000 mm water column rating this means the fabric can withstand high-pressure water—more than enough to keep you dry through torrential downpours, wind-driven spray, and submersion up to the chest.

The 25,000 g/m²/24h breathability rating ensures excess body heat and moisture vapor escape freely, so you're not soaked from the inside out. This ensures comfort when hiking to a riverbank or casting all day.

Non-porous structure: Unlike microporous membranes, SympaTex doesn't clog with dirt, oil, or salt, preserving long-term performance with minimal maintenance. It also adjusts dynamically to changing conditions, making it ideal for cold morning starts, wet wading afternoons, or windy boat rides.

SympaTex is 100% recyclable and contains no harmful PFCs (perfluorinated compounds) or PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene), reducing environmental impact during production and after disposal.

The jacket’s membrane production uses only 3 litres of water per kilo of fabric, compared to 50–60 litres used in conventional alternatives. It is also produced from Bluesign approved textiles ensuring all materials are responsibly sourced and processed with low emissions and chemical-free standards.

The Torne’s outer shell fabric is infused with CORDURA yarns, making it exceptionally resistant to abrasion and scuffs from brush, rocks, logs, and fly boxes. Also snags or tearing when crawling through undergrowth or leaning against boat hulls. It also helps protect the jacket from general wear-and-tear from hard fishing seasons ensuring you will be wearing this jacket in many years to come.

Fitted with a YKK Aquaguard zipper an industry standard in waterproof zippers, preventing water ingress along one of the jacket’s most vulnerable seams. On the interior side is a moisture-wicking storm flap, this flap catches and redirects any moisture, improving comfort and preventing damp build-up.

Featuring a zip garage / chin guard that prevents chafing at the neck when zipped fully and adds insulation around high-contact zones in the collar. It’s a secure and low-fuss closure system you can rely on when the sky opens up.

Designed with on-the-water efficiency in mind, the Torne V2 has 3 large vertical chest pockets. These are compatible with oversized fly boxes, fluorocarbon spools, leaders, and even small cameras or gloves. Each has a water-repellent zip and internal stretch lining.

The fleece-lined hand-warmer pockets are positioned slightly higher for access above wader level—perfect for cold mornings or when not actively casting. Hidden tool docking loops offer discreet and secure attachment points for nippers, forceps, floatant holders or zingers—reducing clutter and improving safety.

Fully shielding you from the elements is the 3-way adjustable hood with a wire-reinforced peak that maintains shape in wind or rain and prevents water from dripping onto your face. The rear volume cinch + dual front toggles allow you to tailor fit snugly over a cap or beanie, keeping peripheral vision and mobility intact.

The high fleece-lined collar warms your neck and traps heat without abrasion, critical for winter or high-latitude fishing. Wrist cuffs are a high-leak risk during fishing, especially while handling fish or submerged line management. The Torne’s Velcro-adjustable storm cuffs fit tightly over gloves or bare wrists to lock water out entirely.

Articulated sleeves allow you to maintain movement for casting and rowing without the sleeves riding up. On the waist is a submersion-proof cuffs designed for anglers who work waist-deep all day.
