New from the 2016 range, the Hardy Ultralite MA DD fly reels are powerful and designed to go the distance. Featuring a medium arbor spool for a larger capacity for specialist fly line tapers, this fly reel is faultless in innovation and design.

This fly reel is a beautiful two tone anodised, bar stock aluminium construction, finished off in a sleek titanium colour with striking gold colour accents. One of the most innovative features on the MADD reel is the new 340 degree colour coded drag system.

This unique system allows you to easily set the drag you'd like with just one simple turn of the knob. The coloured dots indicate the settings between a heavy drag (red coloured dots) or a light drag (green coloured dots) and gives you smooth, impeccable control. You'll be able to quickly see where your drag is set without stopping or interrupting your fishing.

The mid arbor spool gives anglers increased capacity for switch style fishing, Pike, Salmon and Trout specialist fly line tapers or allows additional room on the spool for reserve backing. The machined alloy spool has machined holes in the spool body to help dry your line out and reduce the weight of the reel.

When you need to load your line or change spools, the Hardy Ultralite MA DD features a screw captive spool release. This has been practically designed so the cap doesn't come all the way off so it reduces your chances of losing it and holds your spool much more securely.
