Hardy Aydon Switch Fly Rod

The Hardy Aydon Switch Rod is finished to the same high standards as the other Aydon rods in the Hardy range and features a perfect blend of balance, recovery and power. The versatile two-handed configuration sits between the Aydon Single Handed and Double Handed range of rods and provides a lightweight rod that excels in a range of situations, with both aerial and anchored casts.

Constructed with Hardy’s world famous Sintrix rod technology which delivers an incredibly lightweight but overall progressively stronger blank than traditional carbon fibre. This unique material allows for an exceptional reduction in weight which will help make your overall set up lighter whilst giving you 30% added strength. The unique technology used in the blank also provides you with increased feedback and feel giving you incredible loop control.

Equally at home switch or Spey casting on small to medium rivers as it is overhead casting from the bank or boat, the Aydon Switch is a versatile rod that covers a multitude of situations.

Each rod is fitted with high quality ceramic lined stripper guides on the lower sections and hard chrome snake guides throughout. The tip section is finished off with a hard chrome tip ring that is incredibly durable and smooth ensuring your line will shoot through with ease. The snake guides are designed to keep your fly line away from the rod blank reducing friction which will help to improve your casting distance.

The Aydon Switch Fly Rods feature high quality cork handles which provide a professional finish whilst helping to ensure maximised longevity. Each rod is finished off with a custom designed lightweight reel seat which features a keyed sliding band for easy use and dual locking screws for securing your chosen reel in place.

Each section has line up ID marker dots for quickly being able to identify if your rod sections are straight once assembled. The Aydon series of rods feature a dark olive colouration blank and are finished with olive whippings and trims throughout.

Each rod is a 4 piece configuration and is supplied in a high quality protective cloth rod bag and is housed in an olive finish Hardy branded protective cordura travel tube that provides you with ultimate protection for your rod when storing or when on the go.
