Description / Guideline Scandi Tips
The Guideline Scandi Tips are the angler's solution for precise depth and turnover control, offering an exceptional variety of lengths, weights, and densities to perfectly match any fishing situation in the pursuit of chrome. This is not just a collection of tips; it is a carefully designed system designed to put your fly in the exact feeding zone, regardless of the river's speed or depth.
Based on the original 4D, 4D Compact, and ULS tips, this updated range features refined tapers and improved density transitions for maximum performance and flawless turnover.
The transition between floating and sinking sections is seamless, eliminating the "hinge" effect often found in lesser tips, which allows the energy of your cast to travel smoothly right down to the fly. This precision ensures your fly is presented perfectly every single time.
This collection focuses on the highly versatile 10-foot and 12-foot tips, ensuring you have the right length, weight, and density for the most common river conditions.
The tips are divided into two categories:
Single Density Tips: The lightest version is the 10-foot, 4-gram tip, designed specifically for use with ULS bodies. These tips are built on a monofilament core, offering a delicate presentation.
Double Density Tips: The rest of the range features a braided core with only 6% low stretch. These can be paired with all Guideline's Scandi bodies, and the double density construction provides superior sink rate control and unparalleled casting stability.
Available in a range of densities in 10ft and 12ft lengths (see drop down menu).
Key features:
Based on the original 4D, 4D Compact, and ULS tips with refined tapers and improved density transitions.
Single Density Tips (4 g): Built on a monofilament core, ideal for ULS bodies (10ft only).
Double Density Tips (7 g): Built on a 6% low-stretch braided core and compatible with all Scandi bodies (10ft and 12ft).
PVC 100% free from Phthalates (as with other Guideline lines).
