Description / Guideline Elevation Double Handed Fly Rod

Introducing the Elevation Double Handed series, Guideline’s most forward-thinking rod design to date — combining precision casting performance with a cleaner, more sustainable production process. Designed for salmon anglers who demand premium functionality and care about protecting the environment they fish in, this rod sets a new benchmark in two-handed fly rod construction.

Featuring the latest in carbon fibre layout and blank development, the Elevation delivers featherlight swing weight, fast recovery, and powerful load capabilities — all while eliminating excess material and waste. Its medium-fast action with a sensitive tip and solid butt section makes it ideal for a variety of casting styles.

Every component has been selected with both performance and sustainability in mind. From bio-based epoxies and formamide-free cork to recycled rod bags and eco-friendly coatings, this rod reflects a commitment to environmental responsibility without compromising strength or durability.

The light, ultra-responsive blank with fast recovery improves casting accuracy and energy transfer. With a fast recovery these rods enable you to make tighter loops and reduce line wobble—ideal for precise and controlled casting.

The progressive action means the rod bends more deeply as you apply more pressure, which provides a smooth power transition from tip to butt. Increased tip sensitivity helps you to detect subtle takes whilst providing more feedback throughout the cast.

Designed with a powerful butt section that ensures the rod has backbone for controlling large fish or making long casts—critical in scenarios with larger fish and where you need to fish at distance.

The matte graphite-grey finish with a soft spiral pattern finish minimises glare and reflections, which could otherwise spook fish.

Upper sections of these rods are fitted with high quality single leg guides which help to reduce the overall weight of the rod. On the lower sections KW stripper guides help reduce friction during the cast and help prevent tangles when casting thin running lines.

Fitted with a clear anodised, chrome-free aluminium reel seat that adds corrosion resistance while keeping a clean, natural-metal look. The chrome-free design avoids heavy metals often used in traditional plating—again, better for the environment.

Each rod is fitted with a high grade 3A cork grip without rubber reinforcement which makes them far more durable and comfortable. No rubber reinforcement also helps keep the grip light and reduces epoxy use, contributing to both weight savings and environmental benefits.

All models are supplied in a protective recycled REPREVE polyester rod bag made from recycled plastic bottles, combining sustainability with durability offering maximum protection for your rod. They also come with a low-diameter slim, protective PP (polypropylene) tube which provides extra protection when travelling or storing.

Model breakdown:
12' #7/8 and 13' #8/9: Possibly the lightest rods ever produced in their respective line weight and length. Fast action with a sensitive and responsive tip make these rods a super option for small to medium sized salmon/seatrout rivers. They work superb with all types of Scandi style casts and Shooting Heads, no matter if you use a Multi Tip or a full sinking version.

14' #9/10 and 15' #10/11: Powerful, strong rods that will manage both Skagit type Heads and all kinds of Multi Density sinking heads with ease. The tip sections on these rods have more power than the two shorter and lighter rods above. They are designed this way to manage larger flies, more wind and the heavier types of lines often used with these line weights. Incredibly light and well balanced.
