Description / Guideline Brook Fly Line
Introducing the Guideline Brook Fly Line, the ultimate small stream specialist line designed for tight back casts and delicate presentations. This short headed line is ideal for the river fishing enthusiast and is super easy to cast.
Designed with a compressed taper and a short head, this line loads the rod effectively at very short distances. This allows you to shoot a line with minimal line out of the rod tip, providing a better feel for the rod and enhancing control and accuracy when fishing at close range. Whether you're casting in small rivers or navigating tricky spots in lakes surrounded by vegetation, the Brook Fly Line opens up new possibilities and makes challenging casts easier and more efficient.
The head of the Brook Fly Line measures just 6.5 metres, making it ideal for casting at distances from right at your feet up to 15-20 metres, depending on your casting style. This design ensures that the rod loads quickly, giving you immediate feedback and enhancing your casting precision.
The main part of the head features a continuous front taper ending in a short back taper, creating a triangular shape that is easy to lift for waterborne casts like roll and switch/Spey casts. This design positions the majority of the line's weight directly aligned with the rod, improving performance and control.
Designed with a 1.75-meter holding line that tapers down to the running line, providing stability for overhead casts. This design feature slows down the turnover slightly, offering better balance and allowing for smooth presentations even at medium distances.
The line has a bone white head colour with a bright yellow handling/running line. The clear colour transition between the white head and yellow running line helps you easily identify where the back taper and head shift into the running line, aiding in precise casting adjustments.
With its distinct turnover and quick-loading characteristics, this line can cast a variety of fly types efficiently. It's designed to handle tight situations, making it perfect for overhead casting between trees or performing roll/Spey casts in confined spaces.
The Brook Fly Line is free from phthalates and toxic softening ingredients, ensuring a safe choice for both anglers and the environment. The line is looped at both ends for easy attachment of leaders and backing, with an ID marking near the tip for quick identification.
