The Greys Wing Travel Fly Rod is a high performance range of compact fly rods that are the perfect choice for the destination angler. These highly portable rods are available in various models to suit an array of fly fishing applications you may encounter around the world.

The Wing Travel series of fly rods have been designed with Powerlux technology, which has a unique molecular structure that evenly distributes nano particles between each carbon fibre within the rod blank. This helps to improve the strength of these rods without adding additional weight, whilst also making them more responsive giving you better line control during the cast.

Each model within the range has a specifically tailored action to suit the style of fishing the particular model was designed for. The action of these rods make them incredibly easy to cast and will suit both the beginner and experienced angler alike.

The single handed options within the range have been fitted with high quality lined stripper guides on the lower sections with single leg guides throughout. The single leg guides are designed to help reduce weight and also help prevent any negative impact on the rods natural action.

The double handed models have been fitted with high quality lined stripper guides on the lower sections and double leg snake guides throughout. The double leg snake guides are designed to help keep the fly line away from the rod blank helping reduce friction during the cast, which will help generate higher line speed giving you extra distance on your cast.

Each rod has been fitted with a high quality AAA grade cork handle which provides a comfortable grip and a professional finish. These high quality cork handles are also designed to be incredibly durable so you can be sure you will be using these rods for many seasons ahead.

These rods have been finished off with an alloy reel seat with either an alloy or wooden spacer depending on the model. The single handed rods feature a dual up locking reel seat and on the double handed models a dual down locking seat. Each reel seat features a keyed sliding band for easy use and dual locking nuts which are sure to keep your chosen reel in place.

Each rod section features line ID markers which make it easy for you to precisely line up each section correctly when assembling your rod. The Wing Travel series of fly rods come in an aesthetically pleasing red/grey finish with black and red whippings and trims throughout.

The Wing Travel Fly Rods are a compact 6 piece design and come supplied in a protective cloth rod bag housed in a hard tube for the ultimate protection when travelling or storing.

The compact size of these rods make them a favourite with the travelling angler due to their ability to easily be stored in a rucksack or suitcase taking up very little space.

The 9 #5 model is a single handed model that is ideal for targeting trout on both rivers and still waters. This model is extremely versatile and can be used when fishing dries or small nymphs and wet flies.
