About the Kite Fly Rod
Designed with Grey’s unique intermediate modulus carbon blank technology that delivers a lightweight yet powerful rod that will help reduce the weight of your overall set up, whilst providing you with plenty of backbone when you need it.

The Greys Lance fly rod features a medium to fast action blank that will suit both the beginner and experienced angler alike. With a nice through action blank and an abundance of reserved power in the lower section, the Lance rods are ideal for fishing a wide range of methods. The action of the Lance results in an incredibly easy loading rod making long distance, accurate casts a breeze for any angler.

This range of rods are fitted with high quality lined stripper guides on the lower sections and single foot snake guides throughout. The top section is finished off with a quality hard chrome tip ring that is highly durable and smooth allowing your line to shoot through with ease. The single foot snake guides are designed to keep your fly line away from the blank of the rod helping reduce friction which will in turn help you improve your distance.

Every rod in the range is fitted with a high quality AAA grade cork handle providing a comfortable grip and professional finish, whilst ensuring these rod handles will last for many seasons to come. Each rod is finished off with a full alloy lightweight up locking reel seat that features dual locking nuts with a nylon cushion ring to help keep your chosen reel secured in place.

On the larger models and heavier casting weights in the range they are finished off with an EVA fighting butt and on the lighter models an alloy end cap. Each section features marker ID line up dots for making sure your rod sections are straight when assembled. The Lance range of rods feature a silver/grey finished blank with aesthetically pleasing black/red whippings and trims throughout.

The Lance range of rods come in a 4 piece configuration and come supplied in high quality black partitioned cordura travel tube offering your rod the ultimate protection when storing or when on the go.

Within the range there are various models to suit a wide variety of fishing applications, with the lighter models being ideally suited for fishing on the river to the longer heavier casting weight models being used for loch-style boat fishing or on still waters.

About the Fin Cassette Fly Reel
These reels have been been built from a high quality die-cast aluminium, which has created a smooth and professional finish, that is highly durable and lightweight preventing fatigue from extended use throughout a session.

Each reel has a machine finished construction which means there is no imperfections on the reel causing friction, ensuring for a smooth wind when retrieving. The spools have been made from a hard wearing plastic and can be easily switched in and out of the reel allowing you to change your fly lines quickly and easily. With a simple quick and easy push off spool design making them perfect for the angler looking to change lines quickly and maximise fishing time.

Featuring a full disc drag system, these reels have been fitted with rulon disc brakes with enough stopping power to handle those specimen sized fish, the drag on this reel can also be quickly adjusted, when playing a fish by using the easy to locate drag knob. This allows you to slow longs runs and handle powerful fish with ease.

These reels have been designed with a modern large arbour design that allows for a quick line pick up when reeling in, this is excellent if you hook into a fish with a large amount of slack line out, allowing you to quickly tighten down your line and begin playing the fish. The large arbour design also helps prevent excess line memory on your fly lines keeping them in top condition. These reels are supplied with two spare spools so you can spool up extra fly lines for your trip and come with a handy carry case to protect your reel.

About the RIO Mainstream Fly Lines
RIO is known for having a wide range of fly lines that focus directly on specific fishing scenarios. This one will cover a wide range of situations and features slightly short heads and tapers for good presentation and powerful turnover.

The lines are also slightly heavier for easier casting and the floating lines include a supple, self-lubricating coating. This will help the line remain memory free in colder water. The Mainstream lines undergo the same rigorous production processes and quality control standards as all RIO products.
