Franc N Snaelda Small Intruder Hackles

The Franc N Snaelda Small Intruder Hackles are perfect for adding a natural movement to your Salmon, Steelhead and Trout flies and are highly versatile in their fly tying uses.

These flexible and soft feathers are most effective when wound on as a hackle and are very fluffy for that desired, natural effect in the water. When in the water this feather has a great deal of movement and produces a pulsing motion which is highly inticing. You can also use individual strands for tails or to add a touch of colour to your fly’s wing.

You can see many intruder patterns that are tied with this kind of feather. Intruder patterns are common Steelhead flies in the USA but are starting to become more popular here in the UK for Salmon fishing.
